Basketball Recap: Roanoke Rapids Takes a Loss

Roanoke Rapids was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The match between them and the J.H. Rose Rampants didn't end well, with the Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets falling 37-19. The contest marked the Yellowjackets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Roanoke Rapids still got an impressive performance from Shaniah Daniels, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Daniels is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 12 games she's played dating back to last season.

J.H. Rose's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kahrin Highsmith, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Amarriah Brown, who posted seven points and six steals.

Roanoke Rapids' defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for J.H. Rose, they moved to 1-8 with that victory, which also ended their nine-game losing streak.
