Volleyball Recap: Thayer Bobcats vs. Seymour Tigers
It was a proper cat-fight when Thayer challenged Seymour on Tuesday. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tigers.
Avery Bowers paced Thayer's offense, picking up 13 kills. Bowers got some help from Hattie Haynes and her 21 assists. Rorie Risner controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Despite the loss, Seymour still got an impressive performance from Elianna Wallace, who had 17 digs and one assist. Wallace has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.
Thayer's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 11-17. As for Seymour, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-18-1.
Thayer has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Cabool on the 23rd. Seymour does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
