Basketball Recap: Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri Triumphs

Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri won the last time they faced Independence Home School and things went their way on Thursday too. The Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri Crusaders managed a 47-41 victory over the Independence Home School Lions.

Independence Home School lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sam Egger, who posted 20 points. Those 20 points gave Egger a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Young, who earned 14 points.

Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Independence Home School, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-4.

Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri will host Ozanam at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri is facing Ozanam at the right time seeing as Ozanam is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Independence Home School, they will face off against Midland Adventist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
