Baseball Recap: Calhoun Comes Up Short

Calhoun was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 8-1 to the Wirt County Tigers. If the Red Devils were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Tigers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Calhoun's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Wirt County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Calhoun will face off against rival Clay County at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Wirt County is set to challenge their familiar foe Webster County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
