Basketball Recap: Pearce Comes Up Short

Pearce easily dispatched Nimitz last Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Pearce Mustangs fell just short of the Berkner Rams by a score of 67-65 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Mustangs have suffered since December 6, 2024.

Pearce moved to 17-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Berkner, they pushed their record up to 15-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pearce will square off against Lake Highlands at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Berkner, they will take on Richardson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Berkner's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 19 contests.
