Soccer Game Preview: Campbell vs. Gilford

Campbell are taking a road trip to square off against the Gilford Golden Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Campbell had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the six-goal drubbing they dealt Berlin on Thursday. Campbell never let Berlin get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. Given Campbell's advantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire soccer rankings (they are ranked ninth, while Berlin is ranked 51st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Gilford got the win against Belmont on Thursday by a conclusive 8-0. Gilford haven't had any issues with Belmont recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Campbell's record now sits at 10-0. As for Gilford, their record is now 7-2-1.

Campbell suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Gilford when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can Campbell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
