Baseball Recap: West Mifflin Continues Road Dominance on Monday

West Mifflin came tearing into Monday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Ringgold Rams a 1-0 shutout. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Titans have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Jackson Fite tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, West Mifflin's victory was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Derek Tudek, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

West Mifflin pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Ringgold, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

West Mifflin will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rams: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
