Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Jesse Medina Turns in Season-Best Effort

Medina rushed for 279 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 15.5 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 62 yards.

The victory was the third in a row for Bell Gardens, bringing their record for this year to 4-1. Medina and Bell Gardens will head out on the road to challenge San Gabriel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Another Game with at Least Two Rushing Touchdowns from Elias Navarro

Elias Navarro produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Schurr to the win on Friday. Navarro wasn't messing around, rushing for 124 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. The match was his third straight with two or more rushing touchdowns dating back to last season.

Unfortunately for San Gabriel, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Navarro. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Navarro saw the Matadors), he rushed for 90 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards.

Joseph Alvarado Makes It Two for Schurr

Another Schurr player making an appearance on this list is Joseph Alvarado. He rushed for 32 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 102 yards and a touchdown.

Alvarado and Schurr will host Mark Keppel at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Aztecs, probably because Alvarado had a solid game then too: he rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
