Soccer Recap: Grand Island Takes a Loss

Grand Island lost against Fremont back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Islanders fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. Grand Island have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Caprice Richardson, who's now up to four this season.

Grand Island's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Fremont, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Grand Island is set to challenge their familiar foe North Platte at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Fremont will square off against rival Columbus at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
