Basketball Recap: Clear Spring Comes Up Short

Clear Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Smithsburg Leopards and fell 89-50. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Leopards this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-31 back in January.

Clear Spring's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Smithsburg, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.

Coming up, Clear Spring will face off against Middletown on Wednesday. One thing working in Middletown's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games. As for Smithsburg, they will venture away from home to face off against Francis Scott Key at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
