Softball Recap: Vina Comes Up Short

Vina lost against Cherokee last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Red Devils lost 17-6 to the Indians. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

A Lann and Braxtyn Quinn stepped up to the plate in a big way. Lann scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Quinn scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Quinn has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times she's played.

Vina's loss dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Cherokee, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vina will take on Sheffield at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cherokee, they will head out to face off against Colbert Heights at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
