Basketball Recap: New Diana Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Sawyer Stapleton and Bailey Tennimon

New Diana lost against Grand Saline back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The New Diana Eagles took a 41-22 bruising from the Grand Saline Indians. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bailey Tennimon and Sawyer Stapleton certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Tennimon posted a point and three steals, while Stapleton put up two points.

New Diana's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Grand Saline, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.

New Diana will welcome Grace Community at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Grace Community will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something New Diana surely won't give up without a fight. As for Grand Saline, they will take on Edgewood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
