Baseball Recap: Lynn Classical Gets the Win

Lynn Classical never let their opponents score on Monday. They came out on top against the Somerville Highlanders by a score of 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rams also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Somerville's batters probably weren't too happy with Christian Figueroa, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 14 Ks (he gave up two walks). With that strong performance, Figueroa is now averaging an impressive 6 strikeouts per game.

At the plate, Lynn Classical secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Gavin Collins, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Lynn Classical and bumps their season record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Somerville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
