Baseball Recap: Indianola Comes Up Short

Indianola lost against Kiowa back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Indianola came up short against Kiowa, falling 17-3.

Ford Peterson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1. Joshua Klink was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Indianola dropped their record down to 4-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Kiowa, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Indianola will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Wilburton at 4:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Kiowa, they will square off against Pittsburg at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kiowa is facing Pittsburg at the right time seeing as Pittsburg is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
