Volleyball Recap: Leyton Warriors vs. Hyannis Longhorns

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Leyton and Hyannis have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Saturday. The Warriors took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Longhorns. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Longhorns apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15.

Leyton's offense was headlined by Macey Roelle and Auvi Cranmore, who picked up two kills apiece. The pair just refused to take it easy: they also led the team is assists, picking up two each. Roelle was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Leyton's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Hyannis, their record now sits at 3-15.

Leyton has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Paxton on the 7th. As for Hyannis, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Potter-Dix on the 4th.
