Basketball Recap: Cibola Takes a Loss

Cibola lost against Cleveland back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Cibola Cougars were outmatched by the Cleveland Storm and fell 66-32. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cougars have suffered since February 16, 2024.

Reagan Westenberger was the offensive standout of the matchup as she went 7 of 9 en route to 14 points. Those 14 points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of KC Winters, who posted six points and six rebounds.

Cibola has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Cleveland, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Cibola Cougars take on the Piedra Vista Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cleveland, they will take on Farmington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
