Baseball Recap: Gulf Coast HEAT Takes a Loss

Gulf Coast HEAT was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Ruskin Christian Warriors, falling 17-6.

Kevin McNulty was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Travis Beiler also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Gulf Coast HEAT's record now sits at 1-7. As for Ruskin Christian, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gulf Coast HEAT will host Central Florida Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Gulf Coast HEAT has given up an average of 15.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Ruskin Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Foundation Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Foundation Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.9 runs per game this season.
