Softball Game Preview: Adams Central Flying Jets vs. Angola Hornets

The Adams Central Flying Jets will take on the Angola Hornets at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Adams Central has given up an average of 14.9 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Adams Central came up short against South Adams on Thursday, falling 15-5. The Flying Jets haven't had much luck with the Starfires recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Melina Peralez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Angola never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Lakeland 10-0. The high-scoring effort was just what the Hornets needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Angola's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-12. As for Adams Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.
