Singer came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the South Cameron Tarpons with points to spare, taking the game 47-30. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 148th, while the Tarpons are ranked 350th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Singer's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.8 points over those games. As for South Cameron, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Singer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 67-7 loss against Fairview on the 7th. As for South Cameron, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Singer at 6:00 p.m.
