Jacobs came up big in Round Mountain's 17-2 victory
While Friday's victory was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Phoenix Jacobs. In Friday's second game she was dialed in and went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and a triple. She played a big game the last time she faced Indian Springs, so the team probably should've seen her coming.
Jacobs and Round Mountain will head out on the road to take on Carlin at 12:00 p.m. in Tuesday's first game. Jacobs has dominated as far as runs are concerned (she's averaged 2.5 per game this season), but she's got her work cut out for her considering Carlin has only allowed 3.33 per game this season.
