Football Game Preview: Webbers Falls Warriors vs. Waukomis Chiefs + Official Tickets

The Webbers Falls Warriors will head out to face off against the Waukomis Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Webbers Falls will be strutting in after a win while Waukomis will be coming in after a defeat.

Webbers Falls' defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 46-0 victory over Gans. Considering the Warriors have won four games by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Webbers Falls' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brutus Robinson led the charge by throwing for 175 yards and three TDs on perfect 9-for-9 passing. The dominant performance also gave Robinson a new career-high in passer rating (177.1). Caden Carter was in the mix as well, providing Webbers Falls with two scores.

Webbers Falls didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Trysten Wilbourn and Robinson. Wilbourn got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Waukomis faced Cherokee in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Waukomis was outmatched by Cherokee and fell 42-8. Waukomis' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Waukomis' defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Webbers Falls, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Webbers Falls was dealt a bruising 56-6 loss at the hands of Waukomis in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Chiefs' Wyatt Smith, who rushed for 125 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for eight yards and one TD.
