Central East extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 6-1. They blew past the Clovis East Timberwolves, posting a 50-20 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 50-14.
Jelani Dippel produced another solid effort throwing for 426 yards and six TDs while completing 73.5% of his passes, and also rushing for 62 yards and one score. Clovis East lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lindsey Graves, who rushed for 69 yards on only nine carries, and also picked up 49 receiving yards. Another big playmaker for Clovis East was Oshea Webb, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
Central East has already played their next matchup, a 46-39 victory against Clovis West on the 16th. As for Clovis East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 42-15 loss against Clovis on the 17th.
