Baseball Recap: Kennedy Catholic Takes a Loss

After flying high against All Hallows on Tuesday, Kennedy Catholic came back down to earth. The Gaels fell 5-2 to the Archbishop Stepinac Crusaders on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Gaels in their meetings with the Crusaders: they've now lost three in a row.

Kennedy Catholic saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan D'Ambrosio, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Max Selinger also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Kennedy Catholic now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Archbishop Stepinac, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennedy Catholic will venture away from home to take on St. Raymond Boys at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Archbishop Stepinac, they will take on St. Peter's at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
