Volleyball Recap: Lawrence Takes a Loss

Lawrence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against the Greater Lowell Tech Gryphons, falling 3-0. The Lancers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gryphons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2021.

Lawrence was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Greater Lowell Tech work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-20, 25-12.

Lawrence's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Greater Lowell Tech, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Lawrence will venture away from home to take on Andover at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Greater Lowell Tech, they will head out to face off against Lowell Catholic at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
