Baseball Recap: GRACE Christian Beats Trinity Academy for Their Third Straight Win

GRACE Christian extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 3-7 in the process. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Trinity Academy Tigers. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Thomas Bradley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up 11 Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because GRACE Christian is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 1-6 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Tucker Riggs, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Seth Bostic, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.

As for Trinity Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

On Trinity Academy's side, Jacob Bondy was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Bondy has hit this season.

GRACE Christian has already played their next game, a 9-3 defeat against Cary Academy on the 23rd. Hopefully Trinity Academy paid attention to the Eagles' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
