Volleyball Recap: Ariel Rosenquest's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ketcham over Arlington

Ketcham lost against Arlington back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Storm fell just short of the Admirals by a score of 3-2. While the Storm didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Admirals 25-21 in the first set.

Ketcham took Arlington into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-23, 25-16, 22-25, 15-9.

Ketcham's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ariel Rosenquest, who had seven digs and three aces. Rosenquest has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Paytyn Dee, who had 16 digs.

This is the second loss in a row for Ketcham and nudges their season record down to 6-3. As for Arlington, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2-1 record this season.

Ketcham will take on John Jay at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The last four games the Patriots have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Arlington, they will face off against North Rockland at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
