Volleyball Recap: Ariel Rosenquest's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ketcham over Arlington

Ketcham was the 1-0 winner over Arlington when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Storm fell just short of the Admirals by a score of 3-2 on Monday. While the Storm didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Admirals 25-21 in the first set.

Ketcham took Arlington into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-23, 25-16, 22-25, 15-9.

Ketcham lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ariel Rosenquest, who had seven digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Paytyn Dee, who had 16 digs.

Ketcham's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Arlington, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6-3.

Ketcham wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against John Jay on the 3rd. As for Arlington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against North Rockland on the 3rd.
