Softball Recap: Frostproof Takes a Loss

Frostproof was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 8-5 to the Venice Indians.

Ella Leppert made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Frostproof's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Venice, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Frostproof will venture away from home to face off against George Jenkins at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Venice, they will host North Port at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
