Desert Sunrise can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Tempe Buffaloes 3-2.

Desert Sunrise wouldn't go down easily and took Tempe into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-22, 17-25, 23-25, 15-13.

Desert Sunrise's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-7. As for Tempe, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Desert Sunrise will host Lee Williams at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tempe, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against South Mountain at 4:00 p.m.
