Basketball Recap: Davenport West Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Davenport West played in conference for the first time on Tuesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They walked away with a 65-56 victory over the Clinton River Kings. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the River Kings, too.

Davenport West's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-6. As for Clinton, they are on a 31-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Davenport West and Clinton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings. Davenport West (ranked 251st) will meet Davenport Central (ranked 63rd) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Clinton will challenge Muscatine at 7:30 p.m. on Friday down 287 places (300 vs. 13).
