Recap: Daniel Lions vs. Crescent Tigers
The Daniel Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 85-27 win over Crescent at home. Daniel has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.
Daniel found their leader in underclassman Janiyah Wilson, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilson has scored all season. Lila Mann was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
The win (which was Daniel's third in a row) raised their record to 9-9. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 39.67 points. As for Crescent, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Daniel will square off against Walhalla at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Walhalla focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday. As for Crescent, they will head out on the road to square off against Seneca at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seneca is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
