Volleyball Recap: Cypress Bay Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Timber Creek

Cypress Bay faced Timber Creek in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Cypress Bay fell just short of Timber Creek by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lightning of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Timber Creek found their leader in sophomore Chase Jordan, who had 20 assists and three digs. That's the most assists Jordan has posted over his last six contests.

Cypress Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Timber Creek, the win keeps they at an undefeated 13-0.

Cypress Bay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Columbus on the 22nd. As for Timber Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Reagan on the 22nd.
