Softball Recap: Mayfield's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

The Mayfield Wildcats didn't have quite enough to beat the United Golden Eagles on Tuesday and fell 13-12. The loss put an end to the Wildcats' undefeated start to the season.

Ella Garrett led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Kameron Sills was another key player, going 4-for-5 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mayfield fell to 2-1. As for United, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mayfield will square off against Worthington Christian at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for United, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when United Golden Eagles face off against Ravenna Ravens at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
