It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact University can now relate to. They fell 19-14 to the Mission Viejo Diablos on Tuesday. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 12-7 to the Diablos when the teams met back in August of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Although University took the loss, they still got scores from Charlotte Beckman and Elyse Mills.

Even if they lost, University's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In that department, Ella Carmichael was the leader with two.

Mission Viejo got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Bailey McNeal out in front who threw for 256 yards and three touchdowns. Those 256 passing yards gave McNeal a new career-high. Mission Viejo's leading receiver Leah Vanderveen was McNeal's top target yet again, picking up 100 receiving yards and one TD.

University has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. As for Mission Viejo, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-14.

University does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mission Viejo, they will challenge Santiago at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
