Football Recap: Mize Takes a Loss

Mize was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Raleigh Lions, falling 44-14. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Lions are ranked 32nd).

When it comes to explaining why Mize lost, don't look at Antrell Agee. Despite the final result, he rushed for 41 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 142 yards and one TD.

Mize didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Zychristian Benson and Trey Myers.

Mize's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Raleigh, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Mize wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 23-20 win against Newton County on the 26th. As for Raleigh, they have also already played their next contest, a 36-0 victory against Morton on the 26th.
