Fort Chiswell came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Bland County, but Tinley Worley wouldn't allow it. The Bears put the hurt on the Pioneers with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday with plenty of help from Worley, who had 22 digs and two assists. She has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more digs the last 20 times she's played.

Bland County never let Fort Chiswell on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15, 25-23.

Bland County was led to victory by Alysia Lopez and Presley Watters. Lopez had four aces and three digs, while Watters had 27 assists and nine digs. That's the most aces Lopez has posted since back in August of 2024.

Bland County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Fort Chiswell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bland County will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Grayson County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Chiswell, they will challenge Chilhowie at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
