Baseball Game Preview: Keystone Oaks Golden Eagles vs. Seton LaSalle Rebels

For the first time this season, Keystone Oaks will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will square off against the Seton LaSalle Rebels at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Seton LaSalle took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Keystone Oaks, who comes in off a win.

Last Thursday, Keystone Oaks got the win against Winchester Thurston by a conclusive 10-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Eagles.

The team relied heavily on Bryce Altenbaugh, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Tony Liebro was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Altenbaugh wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Keystone Oaks kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Winchester Thurston only managed six hits.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Seton LaSalle's offense. They came up short against Canon-McMillan on Friday, falling 10-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rebels have suffered since May 7, 2024.

Seton LaSalle's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Keystone Oaks, their record now sits at 2-0.

Keystone Oaks couldn't quite get it done against Seton LaSalle in their previous meeting back in May of 2019 as they fell 9-5. Can Keystone Oaks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
