Football Game Preview: Plainview Indians vs. Perkins-Tryon Demons + How To Watch

The Plainview Indians will face off against the Perkins-Tryon Demons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, Plainview was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 30-26 to Kingfisher. While the Indians had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Yellowjackets 7-2.

Meanwhile, Perkins-Tryon was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past McLoud 35-7. Considering the Demons have won seven contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Perkins-Tryon's win came from a few key players Plainview will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Wyatt Atkinson, who rushed for 101 yards and one score, and also threw for two yards and one touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his eighth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards. Beau Gravitt was another key player, throwing for 161 yards and one TD while completing 92.3% of his passes.

Perkins-Tryon was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 256 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 179 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Perkins-Tryon's defense made their presence known, laying out Phoenix Lopez three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jerrett Gibson, Ethan Anderson, and Raudel De Loera, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Perkins-Tryon is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.0 points over those games. As for Plainview, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3.
