Volleyball Recap: Sadie Corbin's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ridgeview Christian over Regents

Ridgeview Christian entered their matchup against Regents on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Crusaders lost 3-0 to the Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Ridgeview Christian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 25-15.

Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sadie Corbin, who had 31 digs and two aces. Corbin is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Alexander, who had 21 digs.

Ridgeview Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Regents, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coming up, Ridgeview Christian will welcome Roanoke Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Regents, they will head out to face off against Timberlake Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
