Pingree dropped down to 3-2 on Wednesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Berwick Academy Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. The Highlanders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

As for Berwick Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games.

For Berwick Academy's part, their victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tucker Montecalvo, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base was Montecalvo's first of the season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Pingree will head out to take on St. Mark's at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Berwick Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Bancroft at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
