Softball Game Preview: Murray Tigers vs. Stewart County Rebels

Murray hasn't had much luck against Stewart County recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Tigers will take on the Rebels at 12:00 p.m. Murray has given up an average of 14.5 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Murray and Calloway County, and Calloway County kept the tradition alive. The Tigers lost 11-1 to the Lakers on Tuesday.

Murray saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mya Brown, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base was Brown's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Stewart County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 4-1 to Rossview.

Stewart County's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Murray, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Murray suffered a grim 16-3 defeat to Stewart County in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
