Volleyball Recap: Center Grove Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Center Grove had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Covenant Christian Warriors as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on five straight.

Center Grove found their leader in freshman Xavi Pineda, who had 22 digs and one assist. Ramon Garrido also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Center Grove's victory bumped their record up to 24-8-1. As for Covenant Christian, the loss snapped their winning streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 24-7 record.

After both having extra time off, Center Grove and Cathedral will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Covenant Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
