Baseball Recap: Raytown Has No Trouble Against Ruskin

It was a Battle of the Birds when Raytown took on Ruskin on Wednesday. The Bluejays blew past the Golden Eagles 13-3. The Bluejays haven't had any issues with the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on William Buckman, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). DeWane Williams was another key player, scoring a run.

The win got Raytown back to even at 2-2. As for Ruskin, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Raytown will venture away from home to square off against North Kansas City at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ruskin, they will head out to take on Winnetonka at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
