Spencer County won against Southern on Wednesday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Bears didn't even let the Kentucky Country Day Bearcats on the board, marking the Bears' second-straight 12-0 shutout. Considering the Bears have won 16 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Spencer County, bringing their record up to 24-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Kentucky Country Day, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.
