Volleyball Recap: Basha Bears vs. Perry Pumas

Basha was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Perry Pumas, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pumas this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on April 1st.

While Basha ultimately came up short, they really made Perry work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-13, 25-22.

Dalton Tourville-Perparos paced Basha's offense, picking up 11 kills. Tourville-Perparos got some help from Taytem Tunney and his 17 assists.

Ryan Carraro was the offensive standout of the contest as he had 14 digs and one assist. Those 14 digs gave him a new career-high.

Basha's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Perry, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 26-3.

Basha has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Williams Field on the 21st. As for Perry, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Shadow Ridge on the 18th.
