Baseball Recap: Niles North Comes Up Short

Niles North lost against Palatine back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Vikings might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-3 to the Pirates, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Niles North saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ari Colish, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Timmy Garcia was another, scoring a run and stealing three bases.

Niles North's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-1. As for Palatine, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Niles North will square off against Niles Notre Dame at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Palatine, they will face off against Jacobs at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
