Softball Recap: Dayton Broncos vs. Nacogdoches Dragons

Dayton can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. Everything went their way against the Nacogdoches Dragons as the Dayton Broncos made off with a 17-6 win. Dayton's victory was all the more impressive since Nacogdoches was averaging only 4.06 runs allowed on the season.

Jess Woods looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Madi Alvarado relieved her and did a solid job, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off six hits (she also didn't allow any walks).

At the plate, Dimika Anthony- Conner was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Itzel Gonzalez, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, a triple, and a stolen base.

On Nacogdoches' side, Maggie Maness was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
