Football Game Preview: Carroll Bulldogs vs. Richwood Rams

The Carroll Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Richwood Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Carroll is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 42 points back in October, they were much more limited against Sterlington on Friday. They were outmatched by the Panthers and fell 49-12. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Panthers are ranked 29th).

Meanwhile, Richwood entered their tilt with Bastrop on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past Bastrop, posting a 36-6 win. That 30 point margin sets a new team best for Richwood this season.

Richwood's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Carroll, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-4.

Carroll beat Richwood 26-16 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
