Football Recap: West Broward Bobcats vs. South Broward Bulldogs
West Broward took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They breezed by the South Broward Bulldogs at home to the tune of 57-14. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 237th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
West Broward found their leader in underclassman Amos Bradford, who rushed for 200 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Bradford's longest rush was for an impressive 63 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Elijah DeWoskin was another key player, rushing for 88 yards and two touchdowns.
One reason for the win was West Broward's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks.
