Chilton waltzed into their game on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Kiel Raiders. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 5-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

Peyton Juckem spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Hudson Ludwig was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mike Vanden Heuvel, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Chilton's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Kiel, they moved to 8-2 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Chilton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raiders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
