Basketball Recap: Conemaugh Township Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

Conemaugh Township had won two straight road games and Ethan Matera did his part to make it three on Thursday. The Conemaugh Township Indians took down the United Lions 66-52 thanks in part to Matera, who went 8 of 10 en route to 17 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in January of 2024.

The team also got some help courtesy of Stephen Stango, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 14 points and seven assists. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Conemaugh Township has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for United, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.

Conemaugh Township will take on West Shamokin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Conemaugh Township is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.8 points per game this season.
